With a distinctive flavor, due to the particularity of the pastures in the Serra de Montejunto Mountain, the cheese that derives from there is widely appreciated, although its production can only be done in small scale so to adequately preserve the flavor and quality that define it. The pastures from the mountain slopes guarantee healthy and pure milk, which convey great quality and flavor to the final product.

The cheese production takes place in the village of Pragança, given its location on the side of the Mountain and its cheese making tradition.
